| Blanchard Ground Parts |

We have eight Blanchard grinders and a Double Disc grinder for high production. Our largest Blanchard has a 42" table. We have experience in all varieties of parts from large plates to small spacers. Typically we hold tolerances as close as .001". We can grind all types of materials including steel, cast iron, stainless, aluminum, etc.

We have 9 Sunnen hones including the new ML-3500 and EC-3500 with tooling which can handle up to 5" dia. Or up to 20" long depending on the part’s requirements. Five of our machines are power-strokers for production. Two of these machines have auto-sizing capabilities. We typically hold tolerances as close as .0002".

Our 5 CNC O.D. Grinders can handle parts up to 40" long, 12" diameter. However, the parts we are most comfortable with usually weigh less than 25 lbs. each. We typically hold tolerances as close as .0002" on the diameter and .0005" on lengths. We run large production quantities as well as small lot/prototype parts. Parts can be run between centers as well as fixtured or held in a collet. Parts with multiple diameters, tapers, and shoulders can be ground accurately and economically.

Our lapping machines are Double-sided and Single-sided Speedfam models ranging in table size from 20" to 64". We mainly use Silicon Carbide abrasive on most of our machines. However, we do use aluminum oxide abrasive for some applications, and diamond in our polishing machines. we can hold tolerances of .0002 in production with flatness requirements of 1 helium light band (.000012") on many parts.The variety of parts that we lap ranges from large hydraulic castings to small ceramic or carbon seals. |
